Teach Me to MakerHappen: An educator's Guide to Makerspace in the Classroom was developed by Joseph Kanke, Trish Durr, and Lana Cecil.

Joseph Kanke is an Instructional Coach working under the Write for Texas grant at Region 13 ESC. In his seven years as a high school English teacher he always looked for original approaches to engage students; the maker revolution is a perfect extension of this innovative spirit.

Trish Durr is an Elementary Instructional Coach with 14 years of experience in education. She joined the maker movement after attending SXSWedu in 2015.  She quickly became deeply entrenched in research, modeling, and shaping Makerspaces across Central Texas.  It is her hope that every child has access to Make. 

Lana Cecil is a teacher and Instructional Coach with 18 years’ experience. She has a passion for research, relationship building, and student achievement. Some accomplishments include: co-creator- and presenter of the Instructional Coach Endorsement program, Advanced Coaching Elements, Coach Like a ROCKSTAR, M13: MakerHappen, as well as a pioneer for the Virtual Coaching Program.
