A sinister non-living organism lurks in the shadows of Sitka, AK. As a public health professional, you must keep this non-living organism isolated to Alaska. Will your efforts pay off?

In this year-long project-based principles of health science curriculum, students will learn about a fictional pandemic and reflect upon their experiences during the COVID-19 outbreak. They will learn about topics such as:
  • anatomy and physiology
  • mental health
  • infection control
  • medical math
  • and careers in health care
The Transpacific Spread covers all the TEKS for the principles of health science course in a project-based format. In addition, the curriculum offers teachers the flexibility to add additional supplemental hands-on clinical skills lessons such as blood pressure assessment, CPR, first aid, and patient moves.

Supports Lever 4.1 - Daily use of high-quality instructional materials aligned to instructional planning calendars and interim and formative assessments
