Join the movement to help Central Texas build tomorrow’s workforce! This comprehensive work-based learning program offers high schools exclusive access to FutureCTX.net, where educators can request tailored career-building experiences for their students.
Program Benefits:
Gain access to demonstrations, guest speakers, mentors, company tours, and hands-on work experiences designed to align classroom learning with real-world job market requirements. Schools must submit requests at least three weeks in advance for successful coordination with business partners.
Pricing:
Enrollment-based pricing is determined per campus according to UIL designation size:
- Campus UIL Enrollment Size 1A: $250/year
- Campus UIL Enrollment Size 2A: $500/year
- Campus UIL Enrollment Size 3A: $750/year
- Campus UIL Enrollment Size 4A: $1,000/year
- Campus UIL Enrollment Size 5A: $1,250/year
- Campus UIL Enrollment Size 6A: $1,500/year
Career Awareness:
- Workplace Tours: Offer students insight into various industries, connecting classroom learning with practical applications.
- Career Fairs: Expose students to a variety of professions and help them understand career options. Region 13 will help find any hard to-fill industry contacts.
- Mentor/Coach Opportunities: Connect students with experienced professionals for personalized career guidance.
- Online Job Post Board: Give students access to part-time or full-time job opportunities.
Career Exploration & Planning:
- Guest Speakers: Inspire students with insights from industry professionals.
- Job Shadowing: Let students observe real-world job functions.
- Work Experience: Help students explore their career paths through hands-on engagement.
Career Training:
- Mock Interviews: Sharpen students' job interview skills with valuable feedback.
- Internships: Provide professional experience to help students apply classroom knowledge.
- Youth Apprenticeship: Allow students to gain practical, hands-on experience in their chosen fields over a one- to two-year process.
