The Leadership Lesson Plan creates an easy to use method for leaders to organize relevant content, professional development, and monitor plans to ensure success in the assessment system – STAAR. Each section includes: CHARTING THE COURSE: supplements, synthesizes, and clarifies the materials provided by TEA LEADERS CHECKLIST: activities and processes for leaders to implement that will assist in the learning process TOOLS: activities, customizable templates STAAR Field Guide for Teachers The STAAR Field Guide for Teachers is designed to be reorganized around units of instruction in the district curriculum to supplement teacher development and to keep STAAR part of the regular planning process. Available for all grades/content areas tested on STAAR (including grades 3-5, Algebra I, Biology, English I, and World Geography). STAAR Field Guide Online Tools & Templates The online tools include the instructional unit heat map tool to connect data to local curriculum, curriculum heat maps for customization for each campus, and Word templates for each tool in the field guide to adapt to local campus needs.
