Product Description
Within every team, opportunities exist for misunderstandings, disagreements over differences, and full-blown conflicts. Well trained facilitators can intervene to improve the team’s communication, problem solving and decision making. The use of effective facilitation skills increases the likelihood that agendas are met; team members’ contributions are valued; and decisions are developed collaboratively.
This easy-to-use booklet provides a quick reference on facilitation for school personnel, parents and advocates. The booklet:
• gives reminders of facilitation concepts and skills;
• offers facilitation tools and techniques with real-life examples;
• serves as a “take along” to prepare for discussions and meetings; and
• provides blank pages to write additional ideas and techniques.
