A revised Dyslexia Supplemental Resource Book with forms that reflect the 2010 Dyslexia Handbook updates will be published and available on the ESC Region XIII product website in the Spring of 2011.

The Dyslexia Supplemental Resource Book is intended to provide Texas public school districts and charter schools administrative resource information for ensuring students with dyslexia are served within all Tiers of a Response to Intervention (RtI) process, and are identified and served at appropriate times through a high quality, sustainable dyslexia program of services. School board members, superintendents, principals, 504/Dyslexia and Special Education Coordinators, and campus dyslexia contacts can use The Dyslexia Supplemental Resource Book to guide district personnel and teachers in:
• gathering data for students at risk of reading failure prior to a referral for dyslexia services;
• providing clear expectations for accountability and compliance with state and federal laws;
• developing appropriate and effective instruction and accommodations; and
• providing notifications, invitations for involvement, and resource information to parents of students who struggle with dyslexia and related disorders.

The Dyslexia Supplemental Resource Book is in no way intended to supplant The Blue Book, The Dyslexia Handbook-Revised 2007. It is a supplemental resource to aid districts in systems implementation at district discretion.
